Ways to wear a Fur Vest

Three ways to wear a fur vest

My latest obsession? Faux fur vests. They are the perfect addition to any winter wardrobe and take your look from not-so-interesting to WOW. When you find the right faux fur, your pairing options are endless. Here are some of my favorite go-to styles.

1. Black on black on black

A comfy black long sleeve, black leggings, black boots and fur vest creates effortless perfection. Add a color pop with a bright clutch or a statement necklace, and voila—you’re ready to go! Sushi dinner, anyone?

2. Cute casual

I am in love with my chambray, and what do you know? It looks flawless paired with the fur vest. It’s oh-so-comfy, and doesn’t seem too elaborate. Perfect for a shopping day with the girls.

3. Paint the town red

I recently found a pair of bright red skinnies bundled up in the farthest, darkest corner of my closet (I’m overdue for a good spring cleaning). When I paired them with my faux fur, it was a match made in fashion heaven. If you want to be extra bold, pair it with a patterned long sleeve. Since this look has so much going on, don’t go accessory crazy. Some simple studs and a boyfriend watch are my picks.

4. Into the woods

I recently saw “Into The Woods” (Anna Kendrick rocked my world, as per usual), and left the theater feeling inspired. Fur, lumberjack plaid, tattered jeans, and boots make for a care-free, rustic look. Throw this outfit together, and you’re all set for a trip to grandma’s house.

5. Bombshell babe

This look is by far my favorite. With an LBD, stunner heels, dark lippie, and gold accessories, you can’t go wrong. It’s a drop-dead look that you can pull together with minimal effort. You’ll be turning heads all night, darling.

About Colleen

unnamed Colleen is a Journalism student at the University of Texas at Austin. Originally from Boulder, Colo., she is a yoga-doing, chai-loving, adventure-seeker at heart. If she’s not taking a jog around Austin’s nature trails, you can probably find her enjoying the live music scene. Some of her wardrobe is bohemian chic, and some is southern sorority worthy—Lilly Pulitzer, seersucker, and a LBD with her grandma’s pearls. The rest of her closet looks like she lives on a ranch—tattered blue jeans, plaid button-ups, and cowboy boots probably still with some dirt on them from last weekend.
